มองเห็น : implies making a conscious effort to see something, but at the same time not necessarily staring at it as is the case with "mong" alone. And again, to review, "hen" alone means that you saw something without making a conscious effort to see it.

I'm right here. Can you see me?

ฉันมองเห็นรถบรรทุกชนกับรถจักรยานยนต์
I saw the van hit the motorcycle

คุณมองเห็นอะไรในความมืด
Can you see anything in the darkness?

ฉันมองเห็นทะเลอยู่ด้านหน้า
I can see the ocean in front of me.

จ้องมอง : jongmong is full out staring or gazing at something.

แมวกำลังจ้องมองปลาที่ว่ายอยู่ในน้ำ
The cat is staring at the fish swimming in the water.

ผู้หญิงคนนั้นกำลังจ้องมองดาวอยู่บนท้องฟ้า
That girl is gazing at the stars in they sky.

ฉันกำลังจ้องมองลูกชายที่เล่นอยู่ที่สวนสาธารณะ
I am staring at the boy playing in the park.

เด็กคนนั้นกำลังจ้องมองฉัน
That child is staring at me.

Thai Lesson 68: Doo, Mong, and Hen ดู มอง เห็น -- ภาษาอังกฤษ บทที่ 68: ดู มอง เห็น

Using the words ดู , มอง and เห็น can be confusing.

ดู : similar to "watching" in English. Watching it because it is in front of your face, and making a conscious effort to watch or look at it.

Examples:

I am watching TV with my husband.

ฉันไปดูหนังกับเพื่อน
I am going to see (watch) a movie with my friend.

มอง : Mong is similar to stare. To make a conscious effort to look at something and to look at it for an extra amount of time.

I am looking at the girl in the short red skirt.

คุณกำลังมองอะไรอยู่
What are you looking at?

ผู้ชายคนนั้นมองมาที่ฉัน
That guy is looking at me.

เห็น : Hen is to see something, but the main point about "hen" is that you did not make a conscious effort to see it. You coicidentally saw it.

Examples:

I can see an airplane flying over my house.

ฉันเห็นเงินสิบบาทหล่นบนถนน
I saw ten baht on the road.
